Christen “Mac” McLemore has been volunteering since 1996. She joined the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad in Sterling, VA as an EMT and Board Member and earned her EMT-B and Fire Fighter 1 Certification. She was part of the Northern Virginia Task Force that was deployed to support one of the Arlington Fire Stations in 2001.

Once she moved to Colorado, she volunteered with the MileHighAgile conference and continued to look for other opportunities after leaving the corporate 9 to 5 schedule and found two fantastic organizations that she supports.

Currently, Christen and her rescued Great Pyrenees, Ripley are a registered Pet Therapy Team through Pet Partners and Denver Pet Partners. She and Ripley are working with Rose Medical Center and Broomfield Library’s “Arf! Read to a Dog” program.
